Tre-Ysgawen Hall Country House Hotel & Spa – Anglesey
Tre-Ysgawen Hall is a 30-bedroom country house hotel and spa set within approximately 10 acres on the Isle of Anglesey.
The hotel has recently benefited from significant investment across the bedrooms, spa, gym, restaurant, kitchen, plant, grounds and guest areas. We are now looking for a strong, hands-on Hotel General Manager / Operations Manager to lead the next stage of growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded hotel operator to take control of a unique independent hotel with significant potential in accommodation, weddings, events, spa, leisure and dining.
The role
This is not a desk-based role. We are looking for someone visible, practical and accountable who can lead the team, improve standards, control costs and drive revenue.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel, including front of house, housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, maintenance coordination, staff rotas, payroll control, guest experience and weekly reporting to ownership.
You will work closely with the owners to improve trading performance, grow weddings and events, increase direct bookings, improve guest reviews and ensure the hotel is run professionally and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
* Full day-to-day operational management of the hotel
* Lead front of house, housekeeping, F&B, spa and maintenance teams
* Improve service standards and guest satisfaction
* Control staff rotas, payroll and agency usage
* Support growth in weddings, events, spa and accommodation
* Ensure strong communication between departments
* Manage guest issues quickly and professionally
* Maintain high standards across bedrooms, public areas, grounds and spa
* Produce weekly reports on trading, staffing, issues and opportunities
* Work with ownership on pricing, packages and business improvement
The candidate
We are looking for someone with strong hotel operations experience, ideally from an independent hotel, country house hotel, spa hotel or wedding venue background.
You must be hands-on, commercially aware, confident with staff, good with guests, and capable of taking ownership of the hotel as if it were your own.

Package
* Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience
* Performance bonus available
* On-site accommodation may be available for the right candidate
* Meals on duty
* Full-time role, approximately 45 hours per week
* 5 days out of 7, with flexibility required for weekends, weddings, events and peak trading periods
