We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
- Cooking and assisting with meal preparation and food safety procedures to ensure compliance with hygiene standards
- Support chefs with cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes
- Help with food storage, inventory management, and organisation of kitchen supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with set-up and breakdown tasks
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is essential; although training will be provided
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic culinary skills including meal preparation and food handling
