Job Summary
Core Objective
Working with a team of skilled electro/mechanical engineers and test technicians you will be an integral member of the team that test automated and benchtop gauging systems ensuring compliance and quality.
The job holder is expected to uphold Company values, support high standards of quality, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
Essential Job Functions
· Calibration and verification of gauges using a range of equipment such as pressure gauges, strain gauges, and first principal measurement techniques
· Conduct gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies
· Conduct gauge correlation studies
· Conduct destructive testing
· Completion of documents to ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management Systems
· Collaborating with supervisors, design and engineering teams to resolve and improve metrology related issues
· Maintaining a clean and organised work area to support quality and efficiency
· Creation and maintenance of Work Instructions and Standard Procedures
· Continuous improvement
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
· Awareness of metrology principles including contact, non-contact and destructive measurement techniques
· Practical experience of first principles measurement using gauge blocks, DTI and surface plates
· Understanding of Measurement Systems Analysis techniques and data collection
· Troubleshooting using gathered MSA data.
· Excellent ability to gather, interpret and present data
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail and produce a high standard of work
· Competent IT skills to enable accurate record keeping, reporting and location of relevant information applicable to role and tasks
· Min 5 years proven experience in a relevant engineering role. Demonstrate knowledge of MSA techniques
· Min Level 3 or time served engineering qualification, HNC preferable.

Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job regularly involves sitting, standing, walking, hearing/listening, repetitive hand movement, grasping, and reaching. Vision requirements include the ability for close vision, to adjust focus, and to colour code.
