Whittington Preschool and Day Nursery is an independent setting based between Lichfield and Tamworth at DMS Whittington. Play based learning and children’s wellbeing are extremely important to us! We offer a home from home environment, inspired by ‘Hygge In The Early Years’ and the Reggio Emilia approach. Our nursery is set in a quiet location with lots of beautiful outdoor space and our own forest school area! We have been established for over 60 years, serving families from Whittington, Lichfield, Tamworth and the surrounding areas.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced, qualified individual to join our team. You must hold at least a Level 2 or 3 qualification and have recent experience of working in a nursery. Please note: This role is NOT suitable for unqualified or inexperienced applicants -thank you!

What is the rate of pay?
Level 2 - £12.75 per hour (£26,520 - £30,166 per year)
Level 3 - £12.90 per hour (£26,832 - £30,521 per year)
What are the hours?
This is a full time, permanent position working either:
- 40 hours per week (4 days 7:30am - 6:00pm)
- 45.5 hours per week (4 days 7:30am - 6:00pm and 1 day 7:30am - 1:00pm)
Which room would I be working in?
This position would be based in our toddler room with children aged 2-3 year olds. We have up to 13 children in our toddler room per day. We keep our numbers low and ratios high to support staff and child wellbeing!
What is the start date?
