Wetherby Whaler is a household name, a family run Business of eight sites of Traditional Fish and Chips.
We are seeking a Trainee Fish Frier to join our team at our Wakefield Sites. As a Trainee Fish Frier, you will be an integral part of our Frying Department learning the art of preparing and frying fish to perfection.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and frying of fish and menu items.
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Learn menu items and quality frying of products
- Support senior staff in daily operations
- Help maintain frying range equipment and utensils in good working condition
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues effectively
Skills:
- Passion for tasty traditional food; interest in meal preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior Friers
- Strong teamwork skills to assist in various tasks
- Familiarity with Food Safety and Hygiene is a plus
