Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled factory Machinist to join our small team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to company standards, so prior experience of factory based production is essential.
The Machinist will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations.
We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude, an independent worker with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to following all health and safety guidelines.
Duties
- To manufacture kitchen textiles
- Strong sewing skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
- Responsible for accurately sewing together the component parts using different industrial sewing machinery and stitch types ensuring that quality standards are always maintained
- To gain thorough product knowledge through on-site training.
- Apply finishing techniques such as hemming & binding
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
- 1 year plus factory environment
- Experience using industrial sewing machines.
- Experience using industrial overlockers
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Confidently use both flatbed and walking foot machines.
- IT literate, be able to follow simple project plan/ worksheets (Desirable)
- Experience using industrial textile cutting equipment (Desirable but not essential)
- Ability to use industrial Embroidery machine (Desirable but not essential)
