As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple live projects concurrently, providing leadership to site teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and within budget.
Working closely with internal departments, subcontractors and clients, you'll play a key role in maintaining quality standards while driving programme performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing multiple electrical projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
- Drive operational performance and project budgets through effective leadership and planning.
- Ensure all pre-start meetings are organised and completed.
- Coordinate and supervise specialist subcontractors and site teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and in line with company procedures.
- Manage procurement requirements and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and the logistics team.
- Managing project variations, change control and agreeing final accounts.
- Implement and maintain Quality Assurance systems across all projects.
- Produce detailed progress reports for clients and senior management.
- Attend client and contractor meetings, representing the business professionally.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and main contractors.
- Carrying out regular site visits, inspections and quality audits
- Ensure project programmes and deliverables meet client expectations.
- Preparing and reviewing RAMS while promoting a strong safety culture across all sites
Person Specification:
- Extensive experience working as a Contracts Manager
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various electrical systems
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial analysis
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good IT Skills to enable flow of information between those involved in the project, particularly Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts
- Full clean driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 Qualified Electrician (preferable)
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
