Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Support catering functions by preparing ingredients and setting up serving areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Assist with serving meals to residents as required
- Restock supplies and ensure all kitchen tools are in good condition
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of food preparation and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and kitchen operations
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
