Job summary:
As a key member of our Customer Services team and reporting to our Coalville Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- The timely despatch and delivery of goods from our site to our UK/European customer locations.
- Responsibility for tracking deliveries to customers in line with the plan, keeping all key stakeholders informed about the status of deliveries, flagging any problems which may cause delays/ issues.
- Organising collections from customer sites.
- Ensuring robust compliance with our haulage standard and customer specific requirements.
- Generating KPI reports for deliveries and collections, discussing continual improvements in performance with our haulage partners.
- Sourcing haulage quotations when and where required.
- Updating our system records with haulage costs, processing supplier invoices and authorising for payment.
- Updating all delivery and collection movements in our computer systems, issuing booking references and time slots for collections and deliveries to our haulage partners and customer nominated haulage providers.
- Daily execution of great communication, focus and negotiation skills to manage any supply chain challenges.
- Producing and/or collecting essential shipping documentation required for customers or suppliers.
- Assisting in issuing supporting shipping paperwork, such as Health certificates.
You will need:
- Great organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage tasks end to end to, ensure deadlines are met.
- Transport planning experience.
- To be a good problem solver.
- A willingness to learn and develop in your role.
- The ability to develop and maintain customer and supplier relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to strict delivery performance criteria set by our customers.
- Experience of working in a freight forwarding environment, with experience of completing road and sea customs declarations would be an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail with high levels of accuracy is essential.
- To enjoy working in a team environment, sharing knowledge, and demonstrating a pride in work.
- Experience of Cargowise or similar freight operating software would be an advantage.

Pay: £27,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
