About Pasha
Pasha Restaurant & Shisha Lounge is one of Bradford's established restaurant, shisha and entertainment destinations.
We operate a large, vibrant venue combining food, premium shisha, live sports, music, DJs and entertainment to create an experience that goes beyond simply going out for a meal.
Our ambition is for Pasha to be a destination – somewhere customers choose because of the atmosphere, entertainment and experience as much as the food and service.
As we continue to develop the Pasha brand and our entertainment offering, we are looking for a talented and charismatic Resident DJ & Entertainment Host to become a key part of the venue's identity.
About the Role
This is not simply a role for someone to stand behind the decks and play music.
We're looking for a talented, energetic and professional individual who can help create the atmosphere, energy and overall entertainment experience of Pasha.
As our Resident DJ, you will become a familiar face to our customers.
We want customers to recognise you, engage with you and associate you with great nights at Pasha.
You'll work closely with our management and Social Media & Content team to develop the venue's music, entertainment, events and online presence.
We're looking for someone who wants to become part of Pasha, rather than someone simply looking for their next DJ booking.
DJ & Music
You will be responsible for:
- Providing regular resident DJ sets throughout the week
- Creating the right atmosphere for different trading periods
- Understanding that early-evening music may require a completely different approach to a busy late-night atmosphere
- Building sets appropriate to Pasha's customers and brand
- Reading the room and adapting your music accordingly
- Maintaining excellent knowledge of current music, classics and crowd favourites
- Playing across a broad range of musical genres
- Preparing professional playlists and sets
- Keeping music fresh rather than repeatedly relying on the same playlist
- Understanding when to increase or reduce the energy of the room
- Taking appropriate customer requests while maintaining control of the musical direction
- Working with management to develop themed nights
- Supporting major sporting events and entertainment evenings
- Supporting guest DJs and other performers
- Helping develop signature Pasha entertainment nights
- Maintaining professional standards at all times
Entertainment & Hosting
The successful candidate needs to be more than a technically good DJ.
Personality matters.
You'll help create an exciting, welcoming and energetic atmosphere throughout Pasha.
This may include:
- Engaging naturally with customers
- Making appropriate announcements
- Hosting elements of special evenings
- Supporting birthday and celebration announcements
- Introducing entertainment or special events
- Building excitement around major sporting events
- Supporting launches and promotional evenings
- Working with management on new entertainment concepts
- Interacting with customers without becoming intrusive
- Helping create memorable moments for guests
You need to understand the difference between playing music to customers and entertaining a venue full of customers.
Become a Recognisable Face of Pasha
We want our Resident DJ & Entertainment Host to develop their own presence within Pasha.
The right candidate should become someone our regular customers recognise and associate with the venue.
You'll be encouraged to bring personality to the position while remaining professional and representing Pasha appropriately.

"That's Pasha's DJ."
That means we're looking for somebody who genuinely wants a resident position and is interested in helping us build something long-term.
Social Media & Content
This is an important part of the position.
Pasha is investing in developing its social media and digital presence, and you'll work closely with our in-house Social Media & Content Manager.
You don't need to be a professional content creator yourself.
However, you must be comfortable appearing on camera and participating in content.
This could include:
- Appearing in Instagram Reels and TikToks
- Creating DJ and music-related content
- Recording behind-the-scenes footage
- Appearing in promotional videos
- Promoting upcoming weekends and events
- Participating in Pasha campaigns
- Helping create content during busy evenings
- Working with photographers and videographers
- Creating content around new music and entertainment concepts
- Helping promote themed nights
- Appearing in event announcements
- Supporting collaborations with influencers and content creators
We want to develop a strong connection between what people see online and what they experience when they walk into Pasha.
You will play an important part in achieving that.
Music Knowledge
Pasha attracts a diverse customer base, so broad musical knowledge is essential.
Depending on the night, time and audience, you should be comfortable working across genres including:
- Commercial
- R&B
- Hip-Hop
- Afrobeats
- Dancehall
- UK Garage
- House
- Desi / South Asian music
- Bollywood
- Punjabi
- Bhangra
- 80s, 90s and 2000s
- Classic party tracks
- Current chart music
You don't necessarily need to specialise equally in every genre.
What matters is having the musical intelligence to understand what works, when it works and for which audience.
A great Resident DJ should be able to look around the venue and recognise when something isn't connecting – and know what to do about it.
The Person We're Looking For
We're looking for somebody who is:

- Comfortable performing to a diverse customer base
- Professional and reliable
- Well-presented

- Knowledgeable about current music and trends
- Comfortable speaking on a microphone when required
- Comfortable interacting with customers
- Comfortable appearing on camera
- Social-media aware
- Creative and full of ideas
- Able to work closely with management
- Able to work as part of a wider hospitality team
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends and late nights
- Able to bring ideas to the business rather than simply waiting for instructions
Experience
Previous professional DJ experience is strongly preferred.
Experience performing within any of the following would be advantageous:
- Restaurants
- Lounges
- Clubs
- Hotels
- Entertainment venues
- Events
- Weddings
- Large private functions
- Festivals
- Corporate events
However, ability, musical knowledge, personality and presence are more important to us than simply how many years you've been DJing.
If you can demonstrate that you can control the atmosphere of a large venue and connect with an audience, we want to hear from you.
Equipment & Technical Ability
Candidates should be comfortable using professional DJ equipment and software.
Experience with systems such as:
- Pioneer DJ equipment
- Rekordbox
- Serato
- Professional mixers and controllers
- Microphones and basic sound equipment
would be beneficial.
The exact equipment and technical setup available at Pasha will be discussed with suitable candidates.

- £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
