Full-time | Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am – 4:00pm (with a rota day off – 5-day working week)
Salary: Dependent on experience + Bonus Scheme
Barnsley Auto Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Depot Manager to join our team and lead the day-to-day operations of our busy retail depot.
Barnsley Auto Centre is a well-established fast-fit service and MOT centre based in Barnsley. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. As a family-run business, we have built a strong reputation locally and now employ just under 40 members of staff across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supporting a team of 4 technicians
- Scheduling and allocating work to technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Liaising with customers, providing updates and maintaining excellent service standards
- Managing stock and parts, ensuring availability for daily operations
- Supporting the smooth running of the depot and maintaining high operational standards
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in a fast-fit centre or similar automotive environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
- Good organisation and communication skills
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Practical knowledge of automotive repair and servicing operations
