- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role preferred (1 year+)
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation, ideally from a restaurant background (1 years)
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils used in sushi preparation or Japanese cuisine (1 years)
- Experience in leading a team, instilling confidence and capability in team members
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading by example
- Pride in your work, always seeking improvement and continuous learning
With a good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, and the ability to follow brand standards and company policies.
Additionally, you should have reliable transportation for early morning commutes.
**Responsibilities Include:**
You will be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting Environmental Health Officer (EHO) expectations. Responsibilities also include ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety on-site for the safety of customers, clients, and staff.
You should be highly organized with a focus on forward planning, able to prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift. Accurate labeling of products for lawful compliance around food safety and allergen regulations is essential.
**Qualifications:**
- Level 2 Food Safety certificate
- HACCP, Allergens, and COSHH are desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided.
