Overview
We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Pick Packer to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing goods for dispatch within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring accurate order fulfilment and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, along with a proactive attitude and physical stamina to handle demanding tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in materials handling, inventory management, and warehouse operations. This will be working 3.5 days, 3 x12 hour shifts 1 x 6 hour, Wednesday 6am - 12pm - Thursday- Saturday 6am- 6pm
Responsibilities
- Accurately picking items from stock using warehouse management systems and order sheets
- Packing products securely to prevent damage during transit
- Stocking shelves and maintaining organised storage areas for easy access
- Managing shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and label application
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure items meet company standards
- Assisting with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times during handling and movement of goods
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling, picking & packing, or warehouse operations
- Knowledge of forklift operation (training available for suitable candidates)
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for quality control tasks
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively within the warehouse environment
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
