Lovell Stone Group is looking for another Quarry Operative to join our team at Bowden's Quarry, Langport.
As a family-run business, we're proud to supply premium British stone to customers across the UK. With six quarries across the South West, we've built a reputation for producing high-quality natural stone for everything from private homes to historic restorations and award-winning projects.
The role
This is a hands-on, physically active role working with natural British stone in a busy quarry and production environment. Your main responsibilities will include guillotining and processing stone for a wide range of applications, with full training, tools and equipment provided.
You'll also have the opportunity to:
- Operate mobile plant machinery
- Assist with general site housekeeping
- Support the maintenance of production equipment
We're looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys practical work, follows instructions, works safely and takes pride in producing quality products. Being a reliable team player is essential.
Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7.30am – 4.30pm
- Friday: 7.30am – 1.30pm
- 40 hours per week
Pay
- Starting from £12.71 per hour
- Overtime paid at time and a half where available
