Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Bar Staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous restaurant or bar experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internships, and offer opportunities for personal development within the hospitality sector.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Ensure all drinks are served safely and in line with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Manage cash register operations accurately and handle payments responsibly
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing any queries or concerns promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold a safe environment for staff and patrons
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or food service environments is desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
