Overview
NO AGENCIES PLEASE - We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction and carpentry practices, with the ability to read structural plans effectively. This role requires hands-on experience in a variety of projects including fabrication, installation, conversion and restoration. The candidate will play an essential role in ensuring that our projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Interpret and work from plans, and technical drawings to execute fitting tasks accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for construction and assembly tasks.
- Conduct fixture installation and door hanging with precision to meet project specifications.
- Execute kitchen installation, roofing, siding, flooring installation, staircase installation, tile laying, and caulking as part of renovation efforts.
- Collaborate with team members on construction site activities while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry, kitchen fitting, loft and garage conversions and staircase installation.
- Proficiency in reading plans and technical documents related to construction projects.
- Strong skills in woodworking, fabrication, caulking, and restoration practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
- Previous experience on construction sites.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship is essential for success in this role.
- Must have own transport and tools.
