We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of the bar environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while serving drinks and providing exceptional customer service. Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain food safety standards will be essential in ensuring a smooth operation.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, using basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol responsibly, ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
- Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and service standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Uphold food safety regulations by maintaining hygiene standards throughout the bar area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Knowledge of bartending techniques, drink recipes, and cocktail preparation is advantageous.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- A commitment to food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards.
