We have an opportunity to recruit a Pupil Support Teacher (PST) to join our Intensive Support Provision (ISP) within St Johns Academy (Primary).
The PST appointed will be expected to use their knowledge and skills of additional support needs to provide a rich learning environment for young people within the ISP.
You will work in partnership with specialist services to meet the needs of learners and provide consultation opportunities to staff and parents.
You will model good practice and help to build capacity of other adults in school through developing and leading collegiate activities.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.
You should have an understanding of inclusive practice and have the desire to be part of a team who are committed to delivering this, working in a collaborative way.
It would be beneficial to have significant experience of teaching, with some of this provided within a support role.
You should have a depth of knowledge and understanding of additional support needs, barriers to learning and interventions to overcome these.
A flexible, solution focused approach is required to work within a busy and rewarding educational environment.
It would be beneficial if you can evidence experience of delivering wider achievement opportunities for young people.
We have a vision of a confident and ambitious Perth and Kinross, to which everyone can contribute and all can share.
Our values and behaviours influence our work and support us in the delivery of our key priorities. In your application, and should you be invited to interview, you will be asked to describe situations that support the criteria required in the role and which also demonstrate our values and behaviours.
