The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project & Small Works Manager to manage electrical projects from start to finish, while also taking responsibility for quoting and pricing small works and reactive electrical jobs.
This is an important part of the role, and we are looking for someone who is confident in assessing electrical works, putting together competitive quotations and managing these jobs through to completion.
You will also be responsible for ensuring larger projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and our internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from planning through to completion.
- Prepare quotations and prices for small works, maintenance and reactive electrical jobs.
- Review enquiries, assess the scope of works and identify labour, materials and subcontractor requirements.
- Follow up quotations and work with clients to secure small works opportunities.
- Manage small works from quotation through to completion where required.
- Manage project budgets, programmes and costs.
- Coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors.
- Work closely with clients, consultants and site teams.
- Monitor project progress and deal with any issues that arise.
- Manage variations and additional works.
- Ensure projects meet health & safety and quality requirements.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular updates.
- Oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
- Maintain good client relationships and support repeat business.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
- Good knowledge of electrical installations.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Good commercial and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience quoting and pricing small electrical works.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
- SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
