Responsibilities
- Assist patients and residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation protocols.
- Support medication administration under supervision, following all safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and infection control procedures.
- Use your driving skills to assist with home care visits or transporting patients when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work flexibly across different shifts as needed, including weekends and evenings.
- Valid driving license and the ability to drive safely for home visits or transportation purposes.
- Basic IT skills for recording patient information accurately in electronic systems.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ health and well-being.
- Knowledge of care plans, infection control procedures, and safeguarding policies is advantageous.
