About the Role
An established electronics manufacturer in Crawley is looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager to join its commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sales and engineering, who can build strong customer relationships while understanding technical requirements and manufacturing processes.
You will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities and acting as the link between customers and internal engineering/manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with existing customers.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries, projects and requirements.
- Identify new sales opportunities and support business growth.
- Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable solutions.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial documentation.
- Support customer meetings, reviews and presentations.
- Monitor project progress, delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity and opportunities within CRM systems.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Account Management, Sales or Business Development role.
- Engineering or manufacturing background is essential.
- Experience working with technical products, components or solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate technical information effectively.
- Commercially driven with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly or an engineering environment.
- Technical sales experience.
- Experience managing B2B customer accounts.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chains.
