Job description
As an Outbound Sales Agent you will be a key player in driving sales and building customer relationships for Seton UK. You will be responsible for managing the entire sales cycle for existing customers, from lead qualification to nurturing existing accounts and closing deals. This role is a great opportunity for a proactive and results-driven individual to make a direct impact on our business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development
- Proactively follow up on open quotes, asset sample requests, abandoned shopping baskets, and other qualified sales leads utilising the CRM tool to maximise conversion rates.
- Qualify and contact high-value leads at the request of the Inbound Team as a mandatory step prior to releasing high-value quotes.
- Conduct daily reviews of Previous Day Orders (PDO) and Previous Day Quotes (PDQ), proactively contacting relevant customers to capture follow-on business or resolve outstanding queries.
- Promote and sell the comprehensive range of Seton products, alongside solutions from Brady and other Brady Safety brands, to maximise revenue and average order value (AOV) from every interaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, particularly Key Accounts and organisations where Seton UK holds preferred supplier status. Act as a trusted advisor to secure repeat business, drive customer loyalty, and identify scalable growth opportunities within these existing accounts.
Campaign Management and Reactivation
- Partner with the marketing team to execute outbound telephone campaigns and follow up on specific direct mail promotions to generate interest and new business.
- Data-Driven Reactivation: With support from the Key Account Manager and Marketing, analyse dormant customer data to identify and prioritise reactivation efforts.
- Tender Management: Search for, manage, and follow up on public tenders to secure new contracts.
Customer Service and CRM Management
- Respond to and manage incoming customer inquiries via telephone, email, and the company website, providing exceptional service where the customer specifically requests to speak with yourself.
- Ensure all customer relationship management (Salesforce.com) tools are updated accurately and in a timely manner, communicating relevant information to the wider team.
Team Support
- Support contact centre/sales team and customers in administrative areas such as order processing, sales quotes, sales information management, product training and pricing in a given territory where required
Profile
- Previous sales experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced sales, customer service, or contact centre environment.
- A track record of proven sales growth and career progression.
- Strong understanding of the entire sales cycle, from generating and qualifying leads to nurturing and closing deals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets.
- A collaborative spirit and a willingness to support colleagues to achieve collective goals.
- Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrable experience in using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce). SAP knowledge preferred (although full training can be given)
- This role is office based, but may require some occasional UK travel visiting accounts or other UK sites
