Kitchen Assistant.
This Job role is exciting for the right person. A role that keeps things fresh and each day different. As part of the kitchen team you will work under our head chef, learning new skills, trying new foods and having an input into future menus. This role will also entail being part of the serving team. The role of waiting on will give you a chance to work your charm on the floor with our lovely customers and give you time to make wholesome relationships with the rest of our fab team.
What we would like from you is a passion for Food and People. We are looking for someone excited to learn, confident to get stuck in, ask questions and likes a high paced environment. Knowledge of working in a kitchen/commercial kitchen would be great but not essential if we can see you are raring to go and learn our ways, thats what we want.
You will be provided with all necessary training for the kitchen by our head chef and on the floor by our Floor manager.
- Work alongside our Chefs helping with prep & service for breakfast & lunch.
The shifts
We open Tuesday to Saturday so that means you get every Sunday and Monday off. The earliest you will start a shift is 7:30am and the latest you will finish is at 6pm.
You must be available to work Tuesday to Saturday.
You will split your time between working in the kitchen helping with prep and on the floor.
Example week:
Tuesday AM- Helping with prep/breakfast service in the morning
Tuesday PM- Working on the floor/potwash
Wednesday & Thursday Working on the floor/potwash
Friday AM- Helping with prep/breakfast service in the morning
Friday PM-Working on the floor/potwash
Saturday - All day working on Breakfast & Lunch service
During half terms, summer holidays and Christmas period more time is spent in the kitchen helping with prep and service.
Hours.
The hours we are able to offer are between 30-43hrs per week, which can be discussed at interview. This role involves covering holiday which means hours would be closer to 43 hours per week.
HOURLY RATE
The hourly rate we are able to offer the successful candidate depending on experience will be discussed at interview.

- Tips (All tips are shared equally between floor and kitchen staff, our tipping system is ace you get between £2.00 to £2.90 per hour worked.
- Christmas holiday, we close every year from Christmas Day until the first week of January. The best time to be off work and relax with family.
