The Company
Lifeblood is an eCommerce growth and creative studio in Cornwall; we're on a mission to build the UK's most effective team and system for profitably growing DTC brands.
The Role
We're looking for a Motion Designer & Editor, who can edit video first and foremost, with motion graphics and design alongside it.
Most of your week will be in Premiere and After Effects. You don't need years behind you. What we're after is someone with a decent foundation, a keen eye for good design and the appetite to get better quickly. You'll work directly with the Head of Creative Studio, and day to day you'll be alongside our videographer, the strategists and the paid media team.
Deliverables
- Edit paid social video ads in Premiere Pro. That means cutting UGC, product and brand footage into ads that hold attention: strong hooks, tight pacing, captions, music and sound effects
- Turn one concept into many edits/output. Different hooks, lengths and formats (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) so the paid team has plenty to test
- Add motion graphics in After Effects: animated type, product callouts, transitions and end cards
- Design static ads, carousels and simple brand assets in Photoshop and Illustrator
- Use AI video and image tools (Higgsfield, Seedance, Kling, Veo, Midjourney) where they help: generating b-roll, product imagery or shots we couldn't film, then editing and finishing it so it's fit for a client.
- Take performance feedback and turn it into new versions and hooks without much fuss
- Keep project files, exports and naming tidy so everyone can find what they need
- Learn new tools as we take them on. We adopt things quickly here.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio with some motion, editing or design in it. Student work, freelance or personal projects are all fine.
- Solid Premiere Pro skills and a feel for pacing, hooks and what keeps people watching
- Working knowledge of After Effects
- Comfortable in Photoshop and Illustrator
- An eye for type, pacing and composition
- Organised: you hit deadlines and don't lose files
- Open to feedback and keen to improve
- Interested in social content and curious about why some ads work and others don't
- Some knowledge of AI video and image tools (Higgsfield, Seedance, Kling, Veo, Midjourney or similar), or a real keenness to learn them fast
Nice to have
- Colour grading or basic colour correction
- Experience with Meta or TikTok ad formats
- DaVinci Resolve or CapCut alongside Premiere
- Some camera experience, or you're happy to help out on shoots
- A knack for writing hooks, captions and on-screen copy
- An understanding of e-commerce and DTC brands, even just as a customer
- Basic photography or product retouching
What you'll get
- Mentoring from an experienced creative lead
- Real client work from week one, across a range of DTC brands
- Room to grow into a mid-weight editor or motion role
- £26,000-£28,000 per annum
- Company pension and private medical insurance (top plan from Vitality Health)
- 25 days annual leave + all UK bank holidays

Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. It's a junior role and we care more about attitude, taste and a good eye than a perfect CV.
