We're looking for Project Supervisors and a Senior Project Supervisor to join our West London team within our Infrastructure Delivery business unit. Supporting projects across the region, you'll need to live within commuting distance of West London.
You'll play a critical part in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of construction activities across our infrastructure projects. Working closely with Principal Contractors, project teams and stakeholders, you'll support the delivery of projects to the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental performance while ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, National Grid policies and contractual requirements.
You'll act as a key site representative, providing first-line assurance and oversight of construction activities, monitoring progress, managing risks and supporting successful project delivery.
For those joining at Senior Project Supervisor level, you'll also lead, coordinate and develop a team of Project Supervisors, providing resource planning, mentoring and day-to-day guidance across multiple projects.
You'll be based at Iver Substation, combining site visits with office working.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee construction activities to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality project delivery.
- Support contractors and project teams in meeting CDM, health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and safety assurance activities, identifying and managing risks.
- Lead site coordination and stakeholder meetings to support effective project delivery.
- Review construction documentation, including RAMS, quality plans and project programmes.
- Monitor project progress and performance, escalating risks and issues as required.
- Support quality assurance activities, defect management and the timely resolution of non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Act as a key site representative, supporting client assurance activities and contractual obligations.
- Support the delivery of projects to agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality and safety objectives.
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to the development of future talent.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Project Supervisor
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Project Supervisors and trainees.
- Coordinate and allocate Project Supervisor resources across projects.
- Drive consistency, continuous improvement and the sharing of lessons learned across the team.
