Job Purpose
Our Warehouse Outlet Store is full of exclusive offers such as 50% off limited edition samples, discontinued collections and selected seconds. It is also where we operate our eBay store and Outlet Instagram account from.
We are looking for an energetic, creative and customer-focussed professional to join our retail team. In this role, you will bring your creativity and social media savvy to the forefront, crafting engaging content, taking photos / videos of our products, and growing our digital community. Additionally, you will be the face of our brand in our Outlet store, assisting customers, driving sales, and maintaining a beautifully merchandised shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality, authentic photos and short-form videos (eBay, Instagram) of our in-store products and displays
- Schedule posts, monitor comments, respond to customer messages across platforms
- Upload product to Instagram account and manage eBay store
- Optimise social-driven sales to meet KPIs
- Deal with customer orders over the phone
- Welcome customers warmly instore, listen to their needs and offer product recommendations
- Process payments on the till and manage returns and exchanges
- Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and attractively displayed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product lines
- Maintain the Graham and Green image to the highest standards
- Promote G&G’s extensive range of furniture / home furnishings
- Assist with moving product around store
- Operate MS Navision system and till
- Deal promptly with Customer complaints, liaising with Customer Services
- Maintain excellent knowledge of product, delivery lead times and pricing
- Support the Manager in the day-to-day running of the Outlet Store
- Ensure sales presence in the Store at all times
- Ensure all stock is correctly labelled and priced
- Liaise with warehouse regarding seconds / discontinued stock
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
- A strong retail sales background - preferably luxury furniture experience
- A strong background in social media
- Must be confident with Microsoft Systems
- Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, eBay, Facebook, and Pinterest
- Confident using a smartphone to shoot and edit media
- Warm, friendly, and patient inter-personal skills, whether dealing with a customer on the shop floor or online
- Ability to balance shop floor duties with online tasks, taking initiative without needing constant supervision
- A good eye for visual merchandising and digital aesthetics
- Computer savvy, experienced with till systems
- Exceptional communicator both written and verbal
- Moving and handling experience
- Proven successful sales experience
- Familiarity with local market
- A good knowledge/appreciation of design, trends and styles
- Knowledge and experience of MS Navision processes
