Herdsperson position
We are recruiting for the right person to join us at the F S Dann & Son dairy business in Dereham, Norfolk, working with our closed herd of high-yielding Holstein cows.
Over the last year we have grown the herd to 450 cows, which are milked three times per day in our modern 25:50 parlour complete with auto-ID and ADF. All heifers are retained and reared on-site. As a result of this growth we are now looking for an additional herdsperson to help support the workload.
This is a permanent cow-based position, focusing on providing high levels of cow comfort and welfare. The role built around a shared milking rota allows for someone to get involved across all aspects of the dairy business.

This is a full-time position, but F S Dann are proud of the work–life balance offered to employees. The role operates on 10 days worked in 14, with reasonable working hours thanks to our three-times-per-day milking schedule.
The salary range for this position is £28,000 to £40,000 depending on experience.
