Café Team Member – Evening Shifts
Location: Par Track, Par, Cornwall
Hours: 12–16 hours per week
Shifts: Monday–Thursday, 4:00pm–8:00pm (3–4 evenings per week)
Start date: Week commencing 7 September 2026
About the role
Par Track is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Café Team Member to join our busy community café.
This is a great opportunity for someone with café or hospitality experience who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
You will be working primarily during our evening opening hours, serving a wide range of customers including gym members, athletes, families, local residents and visitors to Par Track.
Key responsibilities
- Providing a friendly and welcoming service to all customers
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, including barista-style coffees
- Serving food and snacks
- Operating the till and processing cash and card payments accurately
- Keeping the café clean, tidy and well presented
- Replenishing stock and helping with basic food preparation
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and cleaning procedures
- Working effectively as part of the wider Par Track team
- Helping to ensure customers have a positive experience every time they visit
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- Experienced in a café, hospitality or customer service environment
- Confident handling cash and card transactions
- Ideally experienced in making barista-style coffee
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
- Passionate about providing great customer service
- Previous café or hospitality experience is preferred, particularly barista experience, but we are equally interested in applicants who have the right attitude, work ethic and customer service skills.
