SEMH Teaching Assistant – Wrexham
Excell Supply are recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Wrexham, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviours effectively.
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual learning and behavioural plans.
- Encourage engagement, resilience, and positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional learning needs is advantageous.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
