We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to individuals, encouraging their participation in daily activities and programmes
- Assist with educational and recreational activities, including tutoring and mentoring sessions
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that promotes confidence and independence
- Support individuals in developing social skills and emotional resilience
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed
- Maintain accurate records of progress and activities undertaken during support sessions
- Promote positive behaviour and facilitate learning opportunities tailored to each individual’s needs
Experience
- Prior experience in mentoring or working with adults is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills
- Organised, patient, and adaptable to meet diverse needs of individuals receiving support
