Operations Manager
Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk
Salary: Up to £65,000
About the Role
As an Operations Manager, you’ll ensure care homes deliver high-quality care, maintain regulatory compliance, and achieve business objectives. You’ll provide strong leadership, mentoring, and support to help each home succeed in line with the organisation’s values and vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage care home operations, ensuring the right people are recruited, trained, and supported.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and business development to meet targets.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulations and implement action plans where needed.
- Maintain and improve the quality of care and living environments for residents.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and outcomes.
- Support and mentor home managers, identifying training needs and promoting continuous improvement.
Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience in care home or healthcare operations management
- Excellent people and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of financial management and compliance
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of quality care standards for elderly residents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Full UK driving licence
Education & Qualifications
- NMC Registered Nurse (desirable but not essential)
