We are recruiting a Junior Sous Chef for a stunning country hotel in the heart of the Lake District, offering an exciting opportunity to take the next step within a busy and well-respected fresh food kitchen.

Working closely with an experienced Head Chef and Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen while continuing to develop your leadership skills within a supportive brigade.

As Junior Sous Chef, you'll help lead the kitchen during service, maintaining high standards while supporting and mentoring the wider team.
As Junior Sous Chef you will:
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead the brigade during service when required
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Assist with training and developing junior members of the team
- Help manage stock, food preparation, and kitchen organisation
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Lead by example with a positive, professional attitude
The ideal candidate will have experience within a quality fresh food kitchen, strong organisational skills, and the ambition to continue progressing within a professional hospitality environment.
