Communications Officer
£38,518 per annum (pro rata) | Bath | Full Time, 37 hours per week | Hybrid
6-Month Fixed Term Contract
Your Words. Our Purpose. Homes for Good.
Good communication changes how people feel about the help that’s available to them. The right words, in the right place, at the right time can turn a confusing service change into something clear, or a missed opportunity into one a customer actually takes up.
That’s the difference you’ll make here. As our Communications Officer, you’ll create engaging content that helps customers understand our services, supports important campaigns and keeps people informed about the things that matter to them. From website updates and newsletters to social media and customer emails, you’ll turn complex information into clear, accessible messages that build trust and confidence.
You’ll work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to understand their services and communicate them effectively to customers. We’re looking for someone who enjoys writing, has a strong eye for detail and can create engaging content across a range of channels, using simple design skills to bring messages to life where needed.
What you’ll be doing
Creating clear, engaging communications that help customers understand our services and the support available to them
Turning complex information into simple, accessible content that customers can easily understand and act on
Writing and publishing content across a range of channels, including newsletters, websites, social media, customer emails and campaigns

Creating simple communications materials and digital assets that support campaigns and bring content to life
Helping to ensure all communications are accurate, accessible, on-brand and consistent in tone of voice
Arranging translations and alternative formats so that information is accessible to all customers
Supporting wider communications activity, including media monitoring, supplier liaison and campaign delivery where needed
