Afon Veterinary Centre is currently recruiting a veterinary receptionist to cover based at our Neath branch. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, administrative tasks and some animal handling. Main tasks include:
Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanour.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate documentation of client information. Collect payments.
Assist veterinary surgeon with various tasks as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Handle client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Hours:
Up to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 7pm. Weekend cover may be required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of veterinary practice management software.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
