We are looking for an experienced, people-friendly manager(s) to run our wonderful, traditional pub in a charming, village location, only a short drive from the Peak District.
Situated in Wetley Rocks, a scenic village within the Staffordshire Moorlands, our pub is the centre of the community and enjoys a healthy trade. Staffordshire features on many lists as a great place to live and work, and is a vibrant, tourist-friendly destination, with the village particularly known for it's millstone grit rock outcrops, Wetley Moor Common, historical architecture and rural countryside. Our pub has actually been serving locals and passers-by since 1834!
Whilst already having a large focus on the community, there is plenty of scope for pub teams and entertainment, and it is also an up and coming site for real ale. Therefore, it is essential that any applicant possesses the required knowledge on how to keep and look after a traditional cask cellar. It is also an ideal location for a successful food business and so applicants should keep this in mind, as sales can be maximised with a good menu of well-cooked dishes.
This role is a live-in position only and is offered on a self-employed basis, where a healthy percentage of GROSS trade will be earned (more details provided during interview).
If you are a community-spirited publican, interested in running this fabulous pub for a welcoming and family-run company then please get in touch, as we'd love to hear from you. We will be looking to schedule interviews across both September 3rd and September 8th. These interviews will be held in our Shrewsbury Head Office
