ALN Pupil Support Assistant
Now Education is currently recruiting for an ALN Pupil Support Assistant to support pupils with Autism and Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a supportive school environment. This ALN Pupil Support Assistant is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children with special educational needs and want to make a meaningful difference in education.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities – ALN Pupil Support Assistant
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
- Support children with Autism and other learning needs in the classroom.
- Assist the teacher with classroom activities and learning support.
- Help implement individual learning strategies and support plans.
- Support pupils with engagement, behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents and other education professionals.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements – ALN Pupil Support Assistant
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally with SEN / ALN / Autism.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.
- Understanding of SEN, Autism or behavioural needs is desirable.
- A patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
