Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Erector to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of fencing across commercial, and industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction trades to utilise their skills in a hands-on environment. Candidates should be physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Erect new fences using appropriate materials and methods, ensuring structural stability and aesthetic appeal
- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to accurately install fencing systems
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, marking boundaries, and setting out fence lines
- Use hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) safely and effectively during installation
- Measure distances accurately to ensure proper alignment and spacing of fencing components
- Repair or replace damaged fencing sections promptly to maintain safety standards
- Assist in fabricating custom fencing components as required using welding or other fabrication techniques
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools used in fencing installation
- Prior work on construction sites or outdoor projects involving fencing installation or similar tasks is preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- CSCS card required
- Driving license required
Pay: £26,000.00-£51,215.42 per year
