Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the overall management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Supervise and motivate nursery staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on high-quality childcare.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed, creating a secure environment for children and staff alike.
- Support staff recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment that promotes learning and well-being.
- Assist with administrative duties such as record keeping, planning schedules, and compliance documentation.
Experience
- Proven management or leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
- Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare environments.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous nursery experience is essential; familiarity with regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.
