We invite applications from both qualified and unqualified educators (compensation varies accordingly) to join our team as flexible staff members. We aim to establish a workforce of flexible educators able to travel across all our sites in Hampshire, our Day Nurseries are located in Basingstoke, Denmead, New Milton, Eastleigh, Alton, and Holybourne.
This position offers complete flexibility, allowing you to select your shifts and location via our App. Compensation is provided for every hour worked, and a mileage allowance is available for travel exceeding 20 miles. There are opportunities to develop new skills and gain valuable experience in various areas of the early years sector, which will contribute to your professional growth. Eligible candidates may also apply for permanent full-time or part-time positions within any of our nurseries as vacancies arise, subject to qualification level.
We seek individuals who can:
· Provide support to nurseries at short notice.
· Maintain high standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for all children within the nursery.
· Ensure the safeguarding, welfare, and safety of all children.
· Collaborate as part of a team to create an enabling environment where every child can learn, play, and develop.
· Be 100% flexible and cover all our settings as required.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Liaise with core staff and support children carrying out activities.
· Adhering to nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children remain safe and secure.
· Promoting effective teamwork.
· Liaising with nursery staff to understand daily plans.
· Demonstrating flexibility in nursery practices, including assistance with domestic tasks such as equipment cleaning.
· Working alongside the Manager and staff to fulfil the nursery’s vision.
· Reading, understanding, and complying with policies and procedures relevant to your role as set by the Manager.
· Reporting accidents to the room leader and providing detailed handover information.
· Maintaining confidentiality of all received information.
· Supervising mealtimes alongside qualified educators to foster positive social interaction.
· Assisting with washing and changing children when deemed capable.
· Upholding standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness always.
· Ensuring children who are unwell are kept comfortable, with prompt notification to management.
· Providing a high-quality environment to support the needs of all children, regardless of disabilities, backgrounds, or medical history.
· Always representing the nursery professionally, both during and outside working hours.
