Who are we?
We are Tracy & Billy, The owners of Trilly’s Bridesmaids & Beyond. We are a mother - daughter duo on a mission to provide the perfect dresses for any formal occasion. We are seeking a Prom Ambassador to help us grow and flourish - If you are in year 11, have an interest in fashion, want to gain experience in promotion or just want to earn your own spending money, this is a great opportunity for you!
Location
One ambassador position is available at each of the following schools:
- Selby High School
- Barlby High School
- York Archbishop Holgate’s School
Only one ambassador will be selected per school.
About the Role
As a Prom Ambassador, you will represent our boutique within your school community by sharing information about our prom dresses, promoting our boutique to friends and classmates, and encouraging appointments and purchases.
This is an independent promotional opportunity and is not employment. There are no contracted hours, no obligation to work, and no minimum performance requirements.
Responsibilities
As a Prom Ambassador, you may:
- Promote our boutique positively within your school.
- Tell friends and classmates about our prom dress collection.
- Share approved promotional content on your social media (if you choose to).
- Encourage students to book appointments or visit the boutique.
- Represent the boutique in a respectful and professional manner.
- Be asked to model dresses to be used for social media (if comfortable, with legal guardians consent)
Commission, Rewards & Gaining Experience
- Ambassadors will receive 10% commission on each qualifying prom dress sale that is successfully referred by them. This could be up to £60 per dress.
- A referral must be clearly identified at the time of booking or purchase using the ambassador’s name or referral method.
- Commission is payable only on completed sales that have not been cancelled or refunded.
- No basic pay, salary, or hourly wage is provided.
- Ambassadors will receive personalised business cards/referral cards.
- Students will be eligible for discounts by using your referral.
- A rewards scheme will be available to our ambassadors to earn their own prom dress.
- A perfect way to start your CV, we will provide references for future jobs/university applications.
- A great introduction to promotion, sales and the fashion industry.
Hours
There are no contracted or minimum hours. Ambassadors choose when and how often they promote the boutique.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current (or advancing to) Year 11 student at one of the participating schools.
- Be selected as the sole ambassador for their school.
- Have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- Follow all school rules and policies when discussing or promoting the boutique.
Expectations
Ambassadors are expected to:
- Act honestly and respectfully.
- Only share accurate information supplied by the boutique.
- Avoid disruptive promotion during lessons or in breach of school rules.
- Maintain a positive reputation for both themselves and the boutique.
Ending the Arrangement
Either the boutique or the ambassador may end participation in the programme at any time without notice. Any commission earned on qualifying completed sales before the end of the arrangement will still be paid in accordance with this programme.
Important Information
Participation in this programme does not create an employment relationship, worker status, agency relationship, or partnership. Ambassadors are independent promotional representatives participating on a voluntary basis with commission payable only on qualifying referred sales.
Pay: £10.00-£100.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Selby YO8 4PT
