Job Summary
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our small team of operators within The Sweet People’s Packaging Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, running and cleaning a variety of packaging/print machines within a clean food production environment.
The role would suit someone who is practical, reliable and comfortable working with machinery and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor packaging machinery safely and efficiently.
- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic changeovers between production runs.
- Keep a clean, tidy and organised working area in line with our food safety and accreditation standards.
- Complete basic production and quality checks to ensure products are packed to the correct specification.
- Identify and report any machine faults, quality issues or production problems.
- Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure production runs smoothly and daily targets are achieved.
- Follow all company hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures.
The role involves the use of hand tools and occasional heavy lifting, so applicants should be comfortable with a practical, hands-on working environment.
Previous machine operating or food production experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.

Pay: £26,437.00-£28,000.00 per year
