Staffing Match are proud to be hiring for a variety of roles at Gatwick Airport.
Passenger Luggage Sorter are responsible for ensuring all passengers baggage is loaded and unloaded accurately and efficiently.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of customers baggage
- To deliver world class customer service
- Processing customers luggage
- Operating specialist equipment as required
- To comply with airport health and safety and security guidelines always
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be physically fit and pass a medical
- Ideally have previous experience in a manual handling role
- To be able to work well within a team
- To be able to work in all weather conditions if your role is based outside / airside
- Have excellent organisation skills
- Be flexible in the shifts you can work
Hours of work:
- 30 - 40 hours per week plus overtime available

Staffing Match Security Checks:
In line with CAA regulations, you will be required to undergo the following prior to commencing work:
- Basic UK criminal record check
- An overseas criminal record check will be required for any period of over 6 months in countries outside the UK
- Full 5-year history*
- 5-year address history
- If the role requires airside access additional checks and security interviews will be conducted
- Staffing Match will obtain all references, you do NOT need to have been working for the whole 5 years, it can also include unemployment / travelling / education periods etc we just need proof of what you have been doing for the last 5 years and addresses that you have been living at.
