About the Role
Driftwood Home Improvements is a family-run business based in Budleigh Salterton, specialising in quality window, door and home improvement installations.
We are looking for an experienced Window & Door Surveyor to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate.
The majority of surveying work will be across Somerset, with some surveys required in East Devon.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong technical knowledge and proven experience in accurately surveying window and door installations.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out accurate site surveys for residential window and door projects, ensuring that measurements, specifications and any relevant installation requirements are correctly identified and recorded.
You will work directly with customers at their properties and liaise with the wider Driftwood Home Improvements team to ensure projects are accurately surveyed and ready for installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out accurate window and door surveys
- Taking precise measurements and recording specifications
- Assessing properties and identifying potential installation issues
- Discussing requirements and options with customers
- Providing clear and accurate survey information for the installation team
- Ensuring all survey details are completed to a high standard
- Travelling to customer properties, primarily across Somerset and occasionally East Devon
- Working independently while maintaining good communication with the office and installation teams
- Representing Driftwood Home Improvements in a professional and friendly manner
About You
Previous experience surveying windows and doors is essential.
You will need to have:
- Proven experience as a Window & Door Surveyor
- Excellent attention to detail
- A good understanding of window and door installation
- Strong measuring and technical skills
- The ability to identify potential issues before installation
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A reliable, organised and professional approach
- The ability to work independently
- A full UK driving licence
Experience surveying conservatories, roofline and cladding would be an advantage, but is not essential.
