Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Secondary Kitchen assistant to join a partner school in Durham on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the school's commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, environment. Working hours are from 11.30am to 2.00pm, and the role is suitable for individuals who are committed to fostering a positive school atmosphere and supporting students during their lunchtime. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety and promoting positive behaviour in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
- Support the maintenance of a calm and inclusive environment where students feel respected and valued.
- Assist with the organisation and management of the dining areas, ensuring a clean and orderly space for students.
- Provide support to students who may require additional assistance during break and lunch times, including those with special educational needs or behavioural challenges.
- Implement school policies and procedures related to health and safety, behaviour management, and safeguarding.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other school personnel to ensure the smooth running of lunchtime activities.
- Promote the school's ethos of respect, inclusion, and community, acting as a positive role model for students.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or concerns, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with school policies.
