Responsible for:
INTAKE
- Receiving incoming meat/raw materials
- Checking quantities
- Checking temperatures
- Checking delivery paperwork
- Checking batch/lot information
- Stock rotation
- Communicating shortages/problems to production
DISPATCH
- Picking customer orders
- Checking weights/quantities
- Checking labels
- Checking dates
- Ensuring orders are loaded correctly
- Dispatch paperwork
- Driver paperwork
- Maintaining cold-chain procedures
- End-of-day dispatch reconciliation
Duties
- Oversee the receipt of incoming materials, ensuring accurate recording and inspection of deliveries.
- Coordinate the dispatch process, including scheduling pickups and ensuring timely shipments.
- Operate warehouse management systems to track stock levels and movement.
- Assist with materials handling, including heavy lifting and mechanical tasks using forklifts or other equipment.
- Manage stock organization through stocking, picking, packing, and proper storage practices.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by load & unload operations while maintaining safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to use a computer and handheld equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with care.
- Familiarity with forklift operation (certification preferred).
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management and documentation.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and external partners.
