Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency, maintaining traditional flavours and presentation standards.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock control.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, specialising in Indian cuisine or tandoori cooking.
- Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrable leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a professional kitchen setting.
- Previous restaurant experience with a focus on hospitality service is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
