We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motorised equipment and vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and excellent problem-solving skills. The Motor Technician will ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, contributing to the smooth operation of our maintenance department. The candidate should have own tools and take pride in what they do! The chosen one will not have random days off after match days or ill at least once per week etc all we ask you come to work do your job and go home only serious people apply please.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of motors and related equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on motors, engines, and associated machinery.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble motor components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and extend operational lifespan.
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as required.
- Carry out welding tasks for repairs or fabrication purposes.
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and recommendations.
- Undertake heavy lifting when handling large or bulky components safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance roles, preferably within a motor or machinery environment.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, mechanical systems, and electrical components related to motors.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Good understanding of maintenance procedures and equipment repair processes.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or motor repair are desirable but not essential.
Pay: £28,600.00-£45,000.00 per year
