Partners in Care Yorkshire Limited is an established domiciliary care agency covering Scarborough and Ryedale. We require care workers to join our team. They should be prepared to work in teams across Scarborough and Ryedale areas. We would prefer applicants to have experience of working in a care setting but if this is the first time you have considered this work then please apply as we are always keen to promote working in the care industry and will provide all necessary training.
You will be visiting people in their own homes and so will have to agree to background checks being carried out. These include criminal record checks, check that you are not barred from working with adults and two references , one of which should be from your previous employer.
We want care workers that have good communication skills and have practical skills in areas such as medicine administration, moving and handling people and record keeping. If you have a qualification in palliative, end of life care or dementia care this will be an advantage. We will be specialising in these areas of care.
Your role will involve visiting people at home to provide support and/or personal care. This may involve assisting with washing and bathing, supporting someone to eat and drink, administering medicines and other aspects of personal care. You may be asked to support someone to take part in a social activity or to sit with them over night. It essential you must drive and have access to a vehicle.
