Job Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Service Engineer to join our team at HEGS PHE Ltd.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop practical engineering skills, supporting the maintenance, overhaul, and servicing of a range of heat exchanger equipment.
The role will primarily involve working on rail cooler radiators, alongside other heat exchanger systems, both within our workshop environment and occasionally at customer sites.
- Carry out scheduled maintenance on jacket water radiators, charge air coolers, and oil coolers as part of ongoing client contracts

Inspect, disassemble, clean, and reassemble plate heat exchangers (PHEs) during maintenance and shutdown activities

Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and relevant safety and operational standards

Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation

Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

Accurately complete maintenance records and defect reports

Support overhaul and refurbishment activities, including major component changes

Work collaboratively with engineers and supervisors as part of a team

Adhere to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards at all times

Participate in on-call duties, shift work, or weekend work where required
- Previous experience working with heat exchangers is desirable (full training will be provided)

Strong practical, hands-on mechanical skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (advantageous)

Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

Flexible approach to travel and working hours
- On-the-job training with experienced engineers
