Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join our team. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This is a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our customers and the compliance of vehicles on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, including cars, vans, and motorcycles
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components and systems, including brakes, suspension, exhaust emissions, and electrical systems
- Identify and document any defects or issues that may affect the vehicle's compliance with MOT standards
- Provide accurate and detailed reports on the results of each MOT test
- Advise customers on any necessary repairs or maintenance required to pass the MOT test
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Valid MOT Tester license
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [INSERT WEIGHT]) as required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or issues
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers regarding test results and required repairs
